In August, Allen Brockman was nominated for The Georgia Frontiere Community Quarterback Award. Those of us who know Allen well realize he embodies this type of endeavor wholeheartedly. A few weeks ago, we received the news that Allen had been chosen as a the top 10 finalist for this honor. Every organization represented in the top 10 was to receive a financial donation to the organization of their choice. At the dedication luncheon held October 23, 2009, the runner up and the winner were announced. We are very proud to announce that Allen was chosen to receive the highest award, not only out of these top 10 finalist, but out of all 143 total applicants!!! “This award was given to me, but it really belongs to the Camp Rainbow Foundation and the community of its volunteers, for all of their hard work, dedication, support and love”, said Allen. Allen was asked to attend the Rams Football game on Sunday, October 25, 2009, where he received his award, and was invited to sit in the owner’s box for the game. He brought along one of our campers, too. They were invited to go out on the field and meet a few players and owners.
