We've been creating a fantastic, friendly environment for children dealing with a pediatric cancer or blood-related diseases for over 35 years. At our camps, campers and their families can take a breath and just have a fun in a less stressful situation, while interacting with others who are in the same situation.

Oncology Overnight Camp 

Who: Children, ages 6-13 years old, diagnosed with a cancer or blood-related disease and treated by one of the St. Louis children’s hospitals.

What: Since 1988, we have hosted a magical camp experience for children dealing with a pediatric cancer or blood-related disease diagnosis.  Campers can experience typical camp activities, have fun, and make friends.  

When: Typically held the first week of June. 

Where: Oncology Overnight Camp is held at Camp Sunnyhill located in Dittmer, MO.  

Cost: All Camp Rainbow camps are FREE to campers.

Day Camp 

Who: Day Camp is for the oncology patient aged 4-6 years old. And the sibling of the oncology patient aged 4-6 years old.

What: Day Camp was created for our littlest campers! Campers will come each morning at 9am and depart in the evening at 5:00pm or 8:30pm (parent's choice).  Day Camp has been specifically designed to meet the unique needs of younger campers who may not yet be ready for a week-long overnight stay.  Day Campers will experience typical camp activities.

When: Typically held the first week of June.

Where: Day Camp is held at Camp Sunnyhill in Dittmer, MO.

Cost: All Camp Rainbow camps are FREE to campers.

Oncology Teen Camp 

Who: Teens, ages 14-18 years old, diagnosed with a cancer or blood-related disease and treated by one of the St. Louis children’s hospitals. 

What: Camp Rainbow Teen Camp is a unique weekend-long overnight camping experience for teens to participate in traditional camp activities as well as gain opportunities to make friends, have fun, and forget their cancer diagnosis for the weekend.  

When: Typically held the first weekend in November. 

Where: Oncology Teen Camp is held at the Wyman Center located in Eureka, MO.   

Cost: All Camp Rainbow camps are FREE to campers.

Family Camp 

Who: Families dealing with the pediatric diagnosis of a cancer or blood-related disease of their child ages infant – 18 years old.  The child must be treated by one of the St. Louis children’s hospitals.  

What: Family Camp is a place for kids with cancer and their families to have fun and enjoy a camp experience.   

When: Labor Day weekend. 

Where: Family Camp is held at Lake Williamson located in Carlinville, IL.  

Cost: All Camp Rainbow camps are FREE to campers.

SIBS Camp 

Who: Children and teens, ages 7-17 years old, who have had or are currently dealing with a sibling’s diagnosis of cancer or other blood-related disorders.

What: Since 2018, we have hosted a magical camp experience for the Super Important Brothers & Sisters (SIBS). SIBS campers can experience typical camp activities, have fun, and make friends.

When: Typically held the second week in June.

Where: SIBS Camp is held at Camp Sunnyhill located in Dittmer, MO.

Cost: All Camp Rainbow camps are FREE to campers.
